Our Clinical Data

In our research, women with PCOS followed the Ovara nutrition plan for eight weeks.

This nutrition plan recommends avoiding starch-based foods, dairy, and processed sugar because of their insulin-stimulating properties.  We hypothesized that simply avoiding insulin-stimulating foods would reduce insulin and testosterone levels in patients with PCOS.  Study participants were NOT allowed to exercise, use insulin-sensitizing medications or supplements, or take hormonal contraception during the study to remove confounding variables.

The participants had significant reductions in insulin and testosterone levels and triglycerides.  In addition, our metabolic research showed that these patients had Improved insulin sensitivity after only 8 weeks.

The results we have seen have been nothing short of amazing.  We have presented our data both in the US and internationally and are happy to answer any questions you may have.
